Painted from Monet’s floating studio on the Seine, this work captures not a town, but a moment — the shimmer of orange leaves, the wind rippling through blue water. The surface seems to breathe. Thick parallel strokes suggest motion; scratched lines in the trees reveal the painter’s hand chasing light itself. In this late-autumn scene, colour becomes time: gold and blue meeting, separating, and lingering — a study of what remains as the season fades.
